I would think the half of those communities with a brain would reach into said community and start fixing the problems. But, just like Detroit, Gary, and countless others... they will just move somewhere else, blame white racism and the cycle will begin again.
I think they’ve run out of places to go; most places don’t want them, and suburbs are usually closed to them due to lack of W-2s, references, etc.
I know owners of rental properties that do fairly thorough checks on prospective tenants; as long as such owners are willing to forego the thirty pieces of silver offered by Section 8 tenants, there is little opportunity for a gibsmedat to get in.
