Closing that “loophole” means that a private person can’t sell an item of his property to another private person without the gov’t involved.

They’ll have to go the route of garage sales that sell kids’ pajamas.
Sell a paper plate to the customer, then give them the pajamas.

And second-hand toys. Gotta check for lead paint. Lead paint, no can sell.

LOL! We recently sold some twin beds with mattresses. The place we sold them told us they “can’t” sell used mattresses but if they just happen to be part of a bedroom set, no problem. Guess we circumvented the law huh?
