At the risk of being blunt, I see these terrorist problems in the Middle East as similar to the problems of violence in our own inner cities. The fact is that this stuff will go on until such time as the population refuses to accept it. At that point the people will have to kill the rats who do this stuff. Kill all of them, and maybe even a few who just sort of kind of agreed with them. The governments over there are too remote, too corrupt, and too afraid of upsetting the sensibilities of the religious zealots in the population. Otherwise, the terrorists become the government, which is pretty much the history of the region.

It’s fairly analogous to inner city violence. Until such time as the law-abiding have had enough, and organize themselves in such a way to confront and kill dead the rats, it will continue, with the authorities only able to nibble around the edges, due to being handcuffed by liberalism.

I don’t think we can kill them all from over here any more than the cops can actually arrest all of the gangs; at least not without massive help from the masses. I guess we are stuck with keeping them over there, and killing as many as we can. Are we really doing either of those things?

kill them all? I’m OK with that but for the moment they’re doing just fine killing themselves. But HG Wells noted a century ago in the Time Traveler that once degeneration sets in they will pretty much weaken themselves until they are food for the few strong survivors. And so far he’s right except he was long by about 800,000 years.

As much as I hate inner city violence, those folks aren’t going into churches and killing 130 and wounding another couple of hundred.

They haven’t taken out targets like the WTC either.

In some ways I do think there is a parallel, but I’d be more specific. Societies in both countries have signed off on these things to a certain extent. I agree with you there.

Here it’s cool to be a gangsta. That S needs to stop here and now. The entertainment industry should do more to police it’s own creations.

The Rap degradation of women would be an excellent place to start.

Black women, women in general, should not be denigrated in the manner many of these songs do it.

Other shady practices that are anti-society should also be looked at.

Crime is not victimless. Quit acting like it is. (not you of course)

Once the people of any faction break out— They cannot be stopped. The carnage that ensues is “to the death”, as in the civil war, where 600.000 dead 400,000 wounded. There is hope if we stand and fight. But if we capitulate and quiver in fear — Isis will soon be cutting heads of our children OFF.
