Agree...me too, the man, like his deceased brother, is a hero of mine.
My point is that there’s one party, with 8 seats, that is holding out for a declaration by Bibi against a 2-state “solution”...and Bibi might have to sign that to form a conservative government (or maybe any government).
If he’s not able to form a Nationalist government, then he’ll probably have to go with a centrist government, a Unity Government, that the President of Israel has already said that he wants. AND ... Herzog has already indicated that he would join a Unity Government, and Netanyahu has formed them before.
But, really, this is an example of how just one very small group can end up causing the “big picture” (of forming a government) to end up sliding over to the left, because that one small group is holding out for their hard right position (one that Netanyahu doesn’t hold to).
Netanyahu is smart and he’s not going to “give away the store”, but yet ... this one group (if they hold out) is going to compromise Netanyahu’s position and cause a government with the Zionist Union in it!
