I had my eyes opened after the Tiananmen Square incident. Not because of the massacre, but because of how many people in the U.S. were surprised by the Chinese oppression.

The Left’s lack of civility and honesty ultimately leads to savage brutality whenever they have power. In spite of countless examples throughout history, for some reason many people still don’t see it coming.

No truer words have ever been spoken. History for most is just a fairy tale about a bunch of ignorant old dead people. Each generation thinks it has everything figured out. Arrogance is human nature. Santayana was right that "those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it", and repeat it we do, generation after generation after generation.
