Gee, I wish I went to Starbucks. Even once in a decade or so. So I could quit them and leave them boycotted.

But since they get no money from e as it is....

Starbucks features average coffee, overly sweet additives, exorbitant prices, long lines, mediocre service and people with laptops monopolizing the available seating. I only go when invited by someone who wants to sit and talk over coffee. If they want to throw in a lecture on race, I won't go at all.

You're a chump (these days) if you take anything seriously said by Blacks.
It's becoming obvious that they will lie about anything.

If I were a person like that fellow who likes to make the funny gotcha videos with liberal icons, I would be very tempted to wander into one of those bigbux places with cameras rolling and when prompted by the debt-burdened college grad, go into a well rehearsed riff on a certain historical speech, finishing off with a dramatic, “not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the contents of their *wallets*, and that ladies and gentlemen is why I am here today in this fine establishment.”

Or something more funny than that.

Shucks…I wanted to have a barista write on my cup: Our CEO is an A**hole.

I never go to Starbucks but this campaign has me thinking about dropping in for a cup of their coffee just so that I have a chance to air some of my thoughts about race relations in America today. I’m tired of all this crap about white privilege, micro aggressions, false accusations, etc. Is there a time limit on how much race conversation we can have with our coffee?

They lost me when they said, “If you support traditional marriage, we don’t want your business”.

I took them at their word, and I stopped shopping at their stores.

Funny thing; when I pass there leaving a shopping center, it’s not so crowded anymore.

At the rate they’re going (including the Race Together), they will be out of business in about 5 years.

I felt bad for the employees stuck with this stupid idea. Chances are, you’re busy enough at your job without having to debate some activist (and only an activist-type is going to take up this offer; everyone else just wants their coffee) over white privilege or whatever.

Beyond that, I can only imagine what the HR department at Starbucks must have thought. Debating a touchy subject like race in the workplace? Goodness help the first conservative barrista who doesn’t agree with a liberal customer-activist. I can see the lawsuits from here.

Dumb idea. I’ll never understand how a guy can become a billionaire, and yet be so dumb (see also: Mike Bloomberg).

I like the coffee, and I buy it in the K-cups for brewing at home. We don’t have a Starbucks in my town (ironically, our many liberals have kept it out because they hate evil chain stores, even though they have been proven to increase business overall). But when I go back to NYC or if I’m traveling, I’ll usually get my coffee there because it’s generally pretty good, pretty efficient, and you don’t get the precious attitude you get from some cute little coffee houses.

I just want a cup of coffee, for Pete’s sake, not to have to sign up against “climate change” (a frequent cute coffee house cause) or suffer through bad coffee because the place supports so many “good” causes. Starbucks, unfortunately, hos just moved out of the decent place to get a hassle-free cup of coffee into the stupid cute but confrontational coffee house with a chip on its shoulder.

The people I really feel bad for are the employees ... you can bet they don’t like this!

This is a great article! But I would have to say that today fact don’t matter. Emotions matter - and the stronger you “feel them” the righter your cause, or something like that. If we were going to talk about facts then the history of the Democrat Party should be listed complete with all the votes in both house of Congress showing how the Dems voted to keep blacks down. And please, please include Lyndon B. Johnson’s famous quote. The Republicans should have that plastered on every billboard in America. Maybe Starbucks would like to discuss that one.

Hysterical fallout. The “brave” billionaire who runs Starbucks thought it was a good plan for his lowest-paid employees to discuss politics with customers. The ridicule was so overpowering that the “brave” billionaire called off his plan - yet the “brave” billionaire was too cowardly to take questions about this catastrophically stupid plan.
