"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton |
|
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldnt make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan |
|
"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792 |
|
"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams |
|
"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams |

Whats odd here...people actually remember Cruz in college. Something that you can’t say about some people.
To: pepsionice
And one of the professors at Harvard Law School, Ala Dershowitz, said Cruz was one of the most intelligent students he ever encountered. Wonder why nobody says that about one Barack Obama....

I’m sure people remember Barry, but they’ve been sworn to silence since what that remember is that he was a big old fag.

Wonder why nobody says that about one Barack Obama.... Obama got re-elected with $4 gas, trillion dollar deficits, surging food prices, and 8% "official" unemployment (13% actual). Somebody on that team was a genius.

So very true and a lot of people remember him as a hard working American man, a man you can trust to keep his word.
This is the man I will support and send in some $$$ every now and then...

“Somebody on that team was a genius”
And somebody on Romney’s team was not.
To: SoConPubbie
He is short by presidential candidate standards, which could hurt him in today’s shallow society.

Ted Cruz didn't need a teleprompter because he believes what he said and they were his own words.
Independence, integrity, a willingness to take risks for ones beliefs, and a vision for the future....DC, the elite and the media are up in arms.
Most of the real world thinks it's pretty funny. Real people rejoice in the Wizard-of-Oz essence of the thoughtmasters when someone has the nerve to confront them.

Dear Rush,
In comparing Ted Cruz to Obama, you missed the larger point.
Ted let us know with his speech yesterday exactly who he is and where he came from.
Obama has never let us know who he really is and where exactly did he come from.
The only think we know for sure about Obama is through his actions.

They were very smart but they had the full force of the media backing them up. They asked Romney out of the blue about contraception and this is what began the ‘war on women’ meme that dominated in the fall. I laughed and thought wow, is that the best they got?
They attacked him for the ‘binders full of women’ comment.(it was a totally innocent remark that only a child would be able to make fun of) But they took it an ran with it! The media was able to paint him as this hater of women and dogs, it is amazing how powerful they are at brainwashing people!

Cruz scares the hell out of liberals because he isn’t an establishment Republican who can be counted on to cave in whenever they start calling him names.

One thing about not using a prompter is that the media won’t have an opportunity to slam Cruz until after they hear what he says which means more people will get what he says unfiltered. That definitely knots their panties in a wad.
