Familiar territory. I used to pass by there when I worked at NYU in the village for many years, before retiring. And I think I taught a few classes in that big white building over on the left. I see it has an NYU flag on it.

I would imagine some of those buildings go back to the 1800’s. They probably have been remodeled so many times over the years that they cannot be safe any more..............

Some of Bill Ayers’ minions blew one up in that part of town preparing a terror bombing in the early 70’s.

Yep. NYU owns most of that part of town. My daughter worked for NYU at a building a block away (Bdwy) from this fire/collapse.
