Coould a computer land a plane with both engines out in the Hudson?

Yes, with proper power supply backup, and AI programming, or remotely piloted from the ground in event of emergency. With today’s advanced technology their is absolutely NO NEED to have a human in the cockpit - NONE. The airlines do so only for psychological comfort of the passengers. From a purely technological view, human pilots are of no consequence, and ought to be replaced with full automation. We land space probes on distant planets, and all is accomplished remotely or by on-board robotics.

What, you think only humans can perform “miraculous landings”? You are seriously out of the technology loop if that is what you believe.
