Once in awhile Creepy Uncle Joe says something embarrassing only to dumocrats.
He might just be parroting what he heard someone Jewish say, to get street cred with the Tribe. Either that, or gentleman that he is, he’s giving us fair warning.

I am a staunch supporter of Israel for the very reason that Golda Meir and Joe Biden voiced, and while I do not know Biden's motivation, I completely agree with what the statement quoted above. I pray that such a terrible day never comes to pass, but I am afraid that even America will turn against Israel and then its own Jews. I don't know when, but fallen humans eventually fall back into the same sins. When that day comes, Jews will have "only" God to protect them, and nowhere else to go but to the land that he promised.
That is not so! I, personally, will stand with them. Face facts, folks, when the Jews come under attack in this country Christians will also come under attack.
I’ve heard from various Jewish friends over the years that the holocaust could happen again, right here. Always thought they were paranoid. But now I see that they were right. I am truly, deeply saddened.

No, Joe is mistaken. Likely the village fool simply thought he was being pro Israel, not playing the classic antisemitic dual loyalty card against American Jews.
Should fascism (imo Obama's preferred political persuasion, not communism) raise it's head, I recall the 2009 threat assessment from the DHS/FBI. Jew wasn't on it, but I'd be rounded up as would lots of folk here. Veteran (not combat, the biggest threat). Politically right wing. Gunowner. Rural (only half the time, won't matter). Religious (they're thinking Christian here, not Jewish, won't matter). The threat would be political in nature. Religion valuable only as a way to demean political non-believers.
Given the level of antisemitism on the left, and amongst some of Obama/Biden's support groups, I understand his mistake, but America isn't Europe no matter what Kerry says. His comments are highly offensive, as evidenced by the lack of coverage outside of some Jewish publications and, ironically, Salon. May be the only Salon article I've posted here, the far left blew his cover.
Will any of this matter to Liberal Jews? Probably not. They didnt realize what was happening to them in Europe 80 years ago either until it was too late. There is a reason that Israel says, “Never again,” and means it.
Joe Bidden would be a disaster as a president. I believe that is the reason Obama chose Biden as his vice president to prevent the few democrats in congress that know how bad Obama is from conspiring with the republican party on impeachment because all that would happen would be Biden taking over. with all of that I take Biden at his face when he says that Israel is the only country that has the jewfish people best interests, just because he is incompetent does not mean that he understands the truth in what he said.
Biden just told us that Obama is a closet Moslem, something we have been saying for years.
However, Obama is an open Marxist in his policies and many of his world views, with an additional layer of more than just admiration for many of the tenants of Islam.
Put them together and you have an America no longer safe for Jewish Americans.
