The Democratic leadership generally believes Cruz would be easy to beat in the general election, and they like the divisiveness they believe he helps create among Republicans. Anybody here old enough to remember how ecstatic Jimmy Carter was when Reagan won the 1980 nomination and for exactly the same reasons?
