I have had a hard time supporting Taiwan, because every time I do, it makes noise like it might want to rejoin China.
I’m willing to defend it, if it is willing to take a stand itself.
I’m not asking that they get belligerent, but they could at least stand to their own principles, separate and proud.
Taiwan does not want to become part of communist China, they see what happened to Hong Kong (Beijing promised them some autonomy for 50 years and now pretty much appoints their government)
Taiwan technically considers itself the rightful ruler of all China. The big issue in Taiwan lately is whether to drop that claim and just be an independent country. (Then there would be no “Two China’s” crap)
