I don’t follow Tiawan that closely, so you may be right. I hope they did go to school on Hong Kong. Then again, they should have known even before that how that would turn out.
I can understand Taiwan thinking it rightfully should be the leader of all China. I do think prudence is called for, and I agree with your take on the two nation concept and dynamics.
China isn’t going to give up forever IMO. Taiwan is living on borrowed time. I just want to make sure they actually understand that.

I’ve been there, and they have always gotten it. Taiwan is most fearful because of Obama. He emboldens our enemies, and China is indeed our enemy.
