On another thread where a utility company shut off service due to nonpayment and a family died due to running a generatir inside the house. Posters actually said it was the utility company’s fault.
So i’ll be counting how many here think the utility company should be sued because there are households with children being denied their ‘right’ to electricity.l

There was no immediate information on what caused the outages – in some cases confined to only parts of the buildings – or when power might be resumed.With all the hot air in DC, you'd think they'd have a convection windmill somewhere to keep the lights bright.

It is only certain buildings (not the whole district), which is kinda odd. White House is one of the structures. You’d think a back-up generator would kick on (like the Pentagon has).
University of Maryland, College Park was without power. Classes cancelled.

I thought I read awhile ago that the power grid around the DC area and parts of Maryland were really bad, and also that they were losing some capacity because of older plants being shut down.
