Then, upon standing and continuing to fight the suspect, the officer has a taser wire in his chest and another in or around his leg. As they break contact, the officer draws his pistol and begins firing, taser leads still embedded in him. If the suspect had the taser at that point he can still administer incapacitating shocks to the officer from up to 35 feet.
