Wow, so you really were a Specter man, and all the way, including 2010.
I didn’t know that we had an actual Specter supporter here.
I don’t think Santorum will run, but if he does, he won’t be much of a problem, this is a big boy primary, it isn’t 2012.
Thanks, you should see some of the stuff I have uncovered about Santorum.
He admits switching to pro-life for his first campaign, when he called himself a “progressive conservative”, this was only a few years after he used to mock the Reagan supporters as “”right-wing fringe”.
I believe he will run, and he will be the perfect media foil that represents their mythical War on Women. The media used one idiotic quote from an inconsequential GOP senate candidate from MO to tarnish the entire GOP. They will attempt it again.
Naps - I completely agree with you. Obviously, ansell2 can act like a troll from time to time, but such a broken and sad record. Ansell2 doesn’t care whether he makes sense or not - for him, trolling is a sport and has nothing else to do in his life....so sad.
Wow, you could have pinged me to that nonsensical personal attack.
If you are not the troll that you appear to be, then why don’t you just point out to me anything that doesn’t make sense or that is not accurate?
You cannot find a single inaccuracy about Santorum in any of my posts so you do the troll thing, just make a personal attack and not even ping me to your post.
Man up, don’t just attack, point out the inaccuracy or the fact which doesn’t make sense, if you are not lying.
His sweater vest will...
Thanks! Have a great weekend! I have know the poster forever and know the tactic....it is annoying but amusing at times.
If it is me, and not you, who isn’t being factual or making sense, then why don’t you direct the thread to a post of mine that doesn’t make sense about Santorum or is inaccurate in a fact about him?
So far you and Dave W can’t do that. Do you think that post 10 is inaccurate, which post are you claiming doesn’t make sense or is inaccurate?
If anyone can find it, surely an Arlen Specter supporter can.
My only beef with you with regards to Santorum is that it is stupid to hold a stupid grudge for someone who could have been our 2012 nominee who would have been better then Romney and certainly better then Obama. Nobody on Earth is bashed more then Santorum for one stupid thing that some didn’t agree with. It is as simple as that. We could have a President Santorum instead of a President Obama (second term), but because he endorsed the Senator who was senior to him and that the President also endorsed, he is bashed for the rest of his life. I find that ridiculous. That’s it. Santorum’s boat has sailed but I think it was party unfair that he is vilified for one thing when he is a dang good conservative.
Now that post made no sense, and doesn’t reflect any connection to reality.
If you have read my posts on this thread, how are you coming up with only “one stupid thing that some didnt agree with”?
You have revealed that you are a Specter man, and you totally ignore the many facts about Santorum posted on this thread, and Santorum was never going to be the president.
Yeah I am Spector man. What an idiot. The guy is dead. Nobody is a Spector man. God you are not very bright when it comes to politics. No wonder we end up with Obama with your supporting idiots like Romney over Santorum. Oh well you live with it. Honestly anybody who thinks that Spector is still in politics cannot possibly be right in the head.
I never supported Romney, and you said that you were a Specter man, do you read even your own posts?
Like Santorum, you supported Specter for 2010 is what you said.
Santorum was a joke, he didn’t get booted from his Senate seat by over 17 points, to suddenly become president years later, how well do you think he is going to do this time?
If you are bright in politics why do you not have any valid responses to anything, and resort to personal insults and attacks?
I never said I supported Specter. I supported Santorum and still do. I am for Walker now today. He has more experience then the other 19 idiots running. Oh by the way, I wouldn’t doubt if they move the debates to a football field because having 20 candidates is not going to be easy in an auditorium. Each candidate gets 30 seconds opening statement and about 3 questions each maybe. I don’t know how they are going to do the debates. It will be a spectacle at best.
Yes you did say you supported Specter, you supported Santorum supporting him 2004 and then you said you supported that same thing for 2010 in post 20.
Do you read your own posts and tell the truth, or are you always this slippery?
I can’t even figure out if you still support Santorum, you say you “still do”, but in the next sentence you say you are for Walker.
Good Lord. Who cares. Are you saying I can’t support two candidates? I guess you are God Almighty then. Specter is dead. I try to tell you that but you are thick as molasses. I guess one day you might get it through your thick skull. Not counting on it though. How about this Walker/Santorum 2016. Got it?
LOL, you just say whatever pops in your head, from post to post you reverse yourself.
You can’t contradict any facts about Santorum so you just post all this nonsense, post after post, after post, of nothing?
Ought to cut Santorum a break for having backed Specter for president in 1996. Santorum’s support couldn’t conceivably have done the country harm since Specter hadn’t a snowball’s chance in hell at the nomination. On the other hand, it made sense for Santorum in terms of his own electoral survival to support Specter, who had helped him in the 1994 general election and whose help he’d need in future elections, particularly to to win the votes of liberal-moderate and pro-abortion Republicans in the Philly area, Specter’s stronghold. Had Santorum endorsed a liberal Republican from another state for president, I’d fault Rick mightily, but backing a sure also-ran from his home state, upon whose good will his own future reelection prospects depended, is surely no sin.
Well you certainly don’t mind replying so you must like what I have to say.....nonsense and all. lol.
The issue is what he wanted in 1996, not what his chances of getting it were, he wanted Arlen Specter to make the GOP a pro-abortion party. Remember that Santorum switched to pro-life to run for office, and he used to mock Reagan supporters as right-wing fringe, and describe himself as a “progressive conservative”.
He never quit wanting Arlen Specter, and supported him for the Senate always, he was devoted to the man and his politics and not only helped him defeat Toomey in 2004, but for 2010, Santorum was STILL supporting Arlen Specter.
Specter finally had to switch to the democrat party to lose the support of Santorum.
