Beware of the Senate! Since the corrupt, citizen-elected Senate approves of U.S. AG and justices, it’s no wonder that everthing that the Constitution-ignoring Senate does is “constitutional.”

The 17th Amendment needs to disappear.

Yes. If US senators were responsible (as they once were) to the elected legislatures in their respective states, who might possibly care more about a state’s rights than the average citizen does, the US Senate would exhibit a much stronger commitment to the Constitution’s principle of limitation of federal power. The Great Compromise was about more than just arithmetic, it was about having two bodies in the legislative branch that are qualitatively different: one representing the people, and one representing the states.
