Senators, are there a bigger group of a-holes out there?
At least they aren’t appointed to office by state legislative party leaders, then they’d be unaccountable a-holes.
Senators should always vote. He should have voted no.
As I been saying, there are talkers and there are doers, and then there are achievers, meaning in results.
“Sen. Cruz was the lone senator not to vote because he did not want to be a part of the sham.”
That, and his being on a plane heading to a fundraiser. You wouldn’t accept that excuse from Obama or Hillary, or probably Walker, Paul, or Rubio.
Okay. But, I support him, and would like to see him be President— So today, he cut into the Dem and Gop elites, told them that they were forcing through another attorney general who had no intention of following the constitution, and then, left to try to get some Dallas billionaire named Hicks to pony up.
Now, for me, as between Sen. Cruz hanging around DC to cast a futile, meaningless no vote -or- raising money so that he can fight against the very Washington flim-flam demonstrated today— I think the latter is a better use of his talents.
Ayotte and flake and Johnson
I fart your way..
I am appalled at the outright stupidity of so many FReepers who don’t see that Cruz knew the fix was in. But I shouldn’t be. The fact that Lynch was not killed outright should tell any idiot that the fix was in right out of the gate. Lynch advocated treason, and they allowed this venomous wretch an up or down vote. I am truly depressed to see how many well intentioned people can be this wrong.
I’m having to come to the unlikeable conclusion, that the GOPe has a rather large contingent here.
The Democrats lie. They support liars.
The GOPe lies. They support liars.
Conservatives tell the truth. They DO NOT support liars.
NewsMax is a big nothing at times.
Here it starts out with the same (type) of language the Washington Post used. It ends up showing the invitation to the Cruz fundraiser. The inference could easily be interpreted that Ted didn’t really care about the vote, and self-interest trumped duty.
That’s very shallow.
1. The vote was revealed in the Cloture vote.
2. This was an event Cruz had set up weeks in advance.
3. Cruz vote would have changed nothing.
4. It wasn’t even close.
Thanks for the link.
” 1. The vote was revealed in the Cloture vote.”
Yes. The fix was in. The Senate should have sent Lynch back to Obama with a note” Are you F’ing kidding us ? “
Exactly. McConnell is Obama’s best man in the Senate.
It’s just embarrassing that he doesn’t get Lynch.
Yes, I’m reading and shaking my head.
He misses one vote that doesn’t matter, and up go the wailings of betrayal. It’s the Alamo all over again, etc.
Give me a break.
Is he paid to be a Senator? Would anybody else in the World be able to just walk off the job when they feel like it? That is the problem. He doesn’t think it is important to do the job he was hired for. Sorry but he should have voted. He wants us to vote for him but guess what? On that day many people have obligations that they need to take care of...yes even personal ones and guess what? We find the time to vote because we care and it is our duty to do so. He should have voted. There is no debate on that. At the very least I hope he put in a slip that docks his pay for not being at the job. Heck if he did that then at least I know it would be considered leave or vacation but if he was paid for not fulfilling his job then that is a problem.
You don't know the answer to that?
"Would anybody else in the World be able to just walk off the job when they feel like it? That is the problem."
It's only a problem if the job isn't done. In this case, Cruz participated in the cloture vote, which is what mattered. He's a bright enough man to understand that. I suspect you are, as well.
" He doesnt think it is important to do the job he was hired for. "
Well, as stated, he did. But I don't think even you really believe that. It's your fanaticism speaking. You have a track record of fixating on a candidate, as you have on Walker. Then you stalk the other candidates' threads. It's a strange way for a conservative military man to behave.
"Sorry but he should have voted."
He did.
" He wants us to vote for him but guess what? On that day many people have obligations that they need to take care of...yes even personal ones and guess what? We find the time to vote because we care and it is our duty to do so."
You sound breathless. So you're saying you're going to throw a tantrum and not vote for him if he becomes the nominee? Okay. It won't come down to a single vote, anyway.
" He should have voted."
Again, he did, but you keep repeating yourself. You should calm down.
" There is no debate on that. "
I agree, and he cast the vote that mattered.
"At the very least I hope he put in a slip that docks his pay for not being at the job. Heck if he did that then at least I know it would be considered leave or vacation but if he was paid for not fulfilling his job then that is a problem"
LOL
