Yes, communism. The students who voted for this are revolutionary socialists, denouncing a minor opponent of the revolution.
This would fit nicely in 1920s USSR, in Mao’s cultural revolution, etc..
If they thought they could achieve it, they would round us up for reeducation. They do not have the capability of getting it to happen successfully, but yes, the desire is there.
