I have never seen this question answered (or even asked...)

If Congress declares war on (fill in the blank,) can the so-called "Traitor-in-chief" ignore the directive?

Would the military react in faithfulness to their oath?

Enemies both foreign and domestic, and all that...

Congress’s last legal declaration of war used the language “authorizes and directs the President to wage war...”

This is as it should be, IMO.
