I should not be surprised if this is true. I've read that years ago when they first started doing blood typing at birth between parents and children, (1940s or 1950s) they discovered that about 10% of the children didn't match either the mother or the father of record.

This pretty much leaves the conclusion that the father of the child must not have been the father of record.
