Freddie Gray's death ruled a homicide, police officers charged
Business Insider ^ | 05/01/2015

Prosecutors ruled that Freddie Gray's death was a homicide. Friday morning, State attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that all six officers involved in the incident have been charged and warrants are out for their arrests.

"Six officers are each facing multiple charges, including manslaughter, assault, misconduct in office and false imprisonment: Lt. Brian Rice, Sgt. Alicia White, Officer William Porter, Officer Garrett Miller, Officer Edward Nero and Officer Caesar Goodson," The Baltimore Sun reports. "Goodson, who drove the van, has been charged with second-degree murder."

Mosby described how police arrested Gray on no grounds, violated police procedures by cuffing his hands and legs the van without putting him in a seat belt, and repeatedly failed to provide him with medical attention.

On April 12, Gray was arrested for carrying a knife and his spine was somehow partially severed while in police custody.

Mosby said that the knife was legal and that the officers “failed to establish probable cause for an arrest.”

Gray underwent major surgery, lapsed into a coma, and died on April 19.

“Mr. Gray was no longer breathing at all" when he was removed from the wagon.

His death sparked protests across Baltimore that escalated into riots.

"We know he was not buckled in the transportation wagon as he should have been. No excuses from me. Period," City Police Commissioner Anthony Batts said. "We know our police employees failed to get him medical attention in a timely manner multiple times."

“What’s funny is you have a State Attorney, who is working for a Republican Governor, going after a Police Department run by Democrats.”

She is called the State Attorney of the City of Baltimore. She is a Baltimore official who issued the charges against the police officers. The word “State” there is used to mean “Government”.

Easy for us to tell the cops to quit but they have bills and families to support. This is where the FOP should step in and offer to keep officers who refuse to report out of fear for their own lives above water economically. How about it FOP? Start a fund and I will chip in the first c-note.

I don’t trust any reports nor motives at this point.

The truth is lost somewhere between statism and anarchy.

Look at how the LEFT WING Baltimore CBS twists Trumps words to say he BLAMES Obunga for the riots.

He didn’t say that exactly. He didn’t BLAME Obama.

Rather, he said Obama hasn’t had a positive effect. That could mean INEFFECTIVE or NEGATIVE. Baltimore CBS station (SeeB.S.) chose to use the word BLAME.

TRUMP wrote: “Our great African American president hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are happily and openly destroying Baltimore.”

http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2015/04/28/donald-trump-blames-president-obama-for-baltimore-riots/

PATHETIC BIASED LEFT WING MEDIA! Of course now the thugs again have confirmation that “the rich white boogeyman hates blacks.”

Baltimore CBS is partly responsible for stirring the pot because it sells news.

TRUMP ought to SUE THEIR PANTS OFF and put them out of business.

Substitute the words "District Attorney" for "State's Attorney" and it makes sense that she is a Democrat (elected by the voters in the City of Baltimore) and the Governor (elected by the voters in the entire state of Maryland) is a Republican.

In many places the county (or city in this case) has a District Attorney but in Maryland it is called a State's Attorney.

“Autopsy results showed that a “significant spinal injury” caused Gray’s death”

“We know he was not buckled in the transportation wagon”

“We know our police employees failed to get him medical attention in a timely manner”

“What we don’t know is how he suffered that injury,”

“If that’s the case, shut down those cops! PERIOD”

Especially on this flimsy evidence?

“Easy for us to tell the cops to quit but they have bills and families to support.”
Any white police officer in these cities is holding the life and livelihood of his family and loved ones of no account if he continues to serve under these conditions. Just like Obama tied the hands of our military by demanding that they fight under ridiculous handicaps; our law enforcement is being made a mockery of and fed to criminal animals on demand. White officers should stand down immediately and FOP should support them fully.

Do you really think there wouldn’t be overwhelming support for them from the public? I’m sure many citizens are, like me, sick and tired of seeing a segment of the population of the United States looting, destroying and pillaging as if it is their right. Not only that but the law-abiding, taxpaying citizen is financing its own sworn enemies. Cut off their Welfare and EBT until they learn to respect or else get out of the nation that has handed them everything on a silver platter without any effort on their part.

Stop asking white police officers to do the impossible.
And taxpayers should stop funding a hostile army. It’s stupid!

You approach a street and spot someone who saw you running away. What to do? Just let him go?

I've been a cop, and if you know the area, you can usually get a charge on the perp if he runs. Normally, they have SOME type of arrest warrant, violation of probation, something. But to be honest, arresting someone JUST because they run is false arrest.

I'd think not running from the cops would be a fairly standard condition of probation.

Indeed. I was just speaking of the general statement of running from police as against some law. Especially if you have not yet been ordered to stop.

Yes it will. I agree with these charges as much as I agreed with Darren Willson’s acquital. Inhuman behavior by animals posing as cops... gives good LEOs a bad rap...

“When they got caught, the cops would ask them why they ran.”

We did that, too. When we were 13 y/o not 25 y/o like Freddie was.

Maybe he was worried about being murdered by the police...

...

...

Seriously, though, since when does someone need a reason to begin running on a public street. If the police were not already seeking him out for questioning about a crime or other incident, and as long as his running did not directly endanger others on the street, then it is absolutely, positively, NONE of their business why he began running.

"Why would Freddie run for no reason?"

Because he apparently suspected that the police would chase him for no reason. You have to experience it in your suburb to find out what's in it. ;-)

Be patient. So far, it's coming. Organizations for state and local governments are pushing for the laws and policies that their members will soon be subject to.

Here's one their own messages from their corruption back to them, and with much satisfaction. "The toes that you step on today may be connected to the...that you'll be kissing tomorrow." Oh, yeah, some constituents have been more equal than others.

It’s a witch hunt plain and simple to keep the rioters and anarchists plus cop haters happy.

The Mayor stated no justice no peace yesterday and said they did not want outsiders doing an investigation .
The prosecutor took thousands of dollars off Gray lawyer.

Now if they is not a conflict of interest and corrupt then I don’t know what is.

The “perps” made allegations that were untrue (e.g., “switchblade”). Like those in so many other recent cases, they have no credibility because of the “inconsistencies.” Their testimony is useless.

who also received thousands of dollars off Gray lawyer, who is also married to a black racist.

Yep no trumped up charges here.

No need for a sarc tag I;m sure even for a left wing nut trolling on here.
