This looks legit.

The charge is carrying a switchblade. It looks like it was filled out that night. If he was carrying a switchblade, it would have been illegal. The prosecutor said the knife was legal. The document says the knife was recovered. So I guess we will find out at trial, if this was a legitimate arrest or not. It is described as a knife in the handwritten portion of this document and charged under switchblade knife in the typed portion of the document.

What are the punishments for illegitimate arrests? That’s a far cry from murder!! What is the reasoning behind the murder charges? Seems to me to be a political move Like when the feds acted like they were imminently going to press civil rights charges against Zimmerman.

but that’s what Grand Juries are for. And I have faith in them.

I guess next smart step would be camera in Vans. Or maybe i’m wrong.

I’ve known people who were arrested for carrying a knife with too long a blade AFTER they passed the DUI test.

It was not a switchblade. It was a spring assisted blade.

The States’ Attorney stated correctly, that that is a legal knife in Maryland. However, she blatantly omitted the fact that spring assisted knives are illegal in the city of Baltimore.

She has no case for illegal arrest or false imprisonment and she has to know that, or she is completely inept.

On FoxNews tonight, the disguised policeman said that the prosecutor's investigator is dating the reporter who broke the story about the other guy in the van changing his story.

Talk about undue influence. No wonder the guy is scared. If this is true. The prosecutor is allowing her investigator to step way over the line of influencing the public.

Oh my.

That I did not know or see.

I came into that interview at the last 30 seconds of it after returning home form the grocery, so I’ll have to watch that again later.

But if that’s true, it really smells.

"It was not a switchblade. It was a spring assisted blade."

Can you explain to me the difference? I once had a switchblade, with a button that released the spring-loaded blade and propelled it to the open position, where it was locked open. So what is a spring assisted blade?

Sounds like they are the same thing to me.
What is the difference?

A switchblade (also known as an automatic knife, pushbutton knife, ejector knife, switch, Sprenger,[1] Springer,[2][3] flick knife, or flick blade) is a type of knife with a folding or sliding blade contained in the handle which is opened automatically by a spring when a button, lever, or switch on the handle or bolster is activated. Most switchblade designs incorporate a locking blade, in which the blade is locked against closure when the spring extends the blade to the fully opened position. The blade is unlocked by manually operating a mechanism that unlocks the blade and allows it to be folded and locked in the closed position.

The knife will look like a normal manual knife, ie thumb stud on blade to open, but once past the resistance of the ball detant, there is a kicker spring( usually leaf) that will “assist “ the blade in opening.

Sounds like you know your knives and your knife laws.

Maybe she is completely inept. If she is making a phony illegal arrest charge on the officer, then it seems she should be charged with illegal arrest on her false trumped up charge.

Knife “laws” can vary so much ,that a knife that is legal in one county, can
be illegal in the next county over.Just generally speaking, not necessarily
Md. Knife “laws” are a mess.

Trumped up charges against the police, cronyism among the ranks of the Mayor, prosecuter, conflict of interest, yes this whole thing stinks of corruption.

To top it off with Al Sharpton keeping Rawlings quite when the reporter tried to ask her questions.

And Al Sharpton calling for a formation of a Federal Nationalized Police Force.

What happened in Baltimore is a false flag event, never let a crises go to waste excuse to form a Nefarious Nationalized SS Gestapo Force.

A false flag event like the February 27 1933 event in Germany called the Reichstag Fire that ushered in the Nazis into power in Germany.

All they needed was a event or crises to exploit and what happened in Baltimore was it.

So I can walk around with a Fairbairn-Sykes as long as I have no intention of hurting anyone?

I have a feeling she was pressured into these charges by her mentor/donor who is the family’s attorney or her husband on the Council for political reasons. If true, this will come back to haunt them when the state can’t convict on these charges.

Mosley's husband is one of the community leaders in that community. This will soon be news about her conflict of interests.

I do think this will end up in the federal courts....there's just no way there can be a fair trial with all the conflicting parties in Baltimore's Governance...and political entanglements. Which they'll try to avoid because they'll end up with every case going federal via protests and all the drama we've seen in this and previous ones “targeted”.

I noticed the officer signed the report, but I don’t see any mention as to the time the incident occurred in the body of his statement. I also see where he said he recovered the knife, but he doesn’t report the disposition of the evidence he confiscated. I would think that documenting the chain-of-evidence would be an important factor when filing charges with the court. I’m questioning this based on what was required of us when we wrote incident reports on inmates.
