“........some residents in Bastrop County questioned a U.S. Army commander during a town meeting about whether the government was planning to confiscate guns or implement martial law.”

One might think for the government to grab guns in Bastrop County that might be a tip off to the rest of the Nation as to the sinister purpose of the ongoing government exercise.

I don’t like Obama. I don’t like the military exercises ongoing, but I don’t think even this administration of his is stupid enough to start gun grabbing piece meal around the country. Word would spread, and it would become more difficult for them to do so.

Civil war and all that you know.

There was some talk on the local Austin station (Austin and Bastrop are only a few miles apart for anyone not familiar) about military personnel asking residents if they own guns. I don’t know if that was fact or just a circulating rumor, but if true, that would be enough to make any patriot wary.

Coupled with the fact that a lot of people down here have made no secret of their desire to legally separate Texas from Obamaland and it’s no wonder that an overt federal presence under Obama’s direction creates unrest.
