She has tolerated Bill’s shenanigans for all this time because he was more of an asset than a liability for her own aspirations. It will be interesting to see wat she does if that reverses.
My bet is if it looks like he kills this last chance for her, she dumps him.
The problems of Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, are entirely of her own making. Slick, while he was an enabler, was not the architect of a single one of them.
Herself is basically a personification of Cruella de Ville, a twisted personality that has latched onto and defined a kind of persona, in which hard work and dedication to aspiring principles is not considered. Deceit, guile, coercion either by force or by shaming opponents into complying with something that is altogether against their own principles, and veiled threats at every juncture are the weapons of choice. There is no such thing in this world view as civility, or empathy, or even a twinge of remorse. The ends ALWAYS justify the means, and if the means are failing, double down on the emphasis of how important the end result must be.
Even if it means breaking a whole lot of eggs and traditions.
