They aren’t traceable in a foil-lined anti-RF bag. “Oh, I’m sorry, I must have been in a place with bad cell coverage.”

Maybe iPhones are continuously on, but the anti-theft tracker application (Lookout) I have on my Android does not have the ability to track the location when the phone is off (and yes, I've tested it a few times -- it reports the location when the phone was turned off).

I use Find My Phone on my kids’ iPhones to track where they are.
