Infrastructure the key Lib buzz word for pouring more money into a government operated failure!!!
That train has been doing that run a couple of times a day for over a couple of decades. Now the libs are going to make it about infrastructure. They make me sick.
Correct. Ole Josh(not so) Earnest stepped in it big time.
I disagree. The funds spent in Iraq, Afghanistan and the rest of the world has been a loss and waste.
I don’t think Amtrack owns the tracks it runs on. Those are owned by individual freightlines and Amtrack has the use of them. So if the tracks were crumbling, and I don’t know that they were, then it’s because a private company refused to make the investment and not the government.
Actual facts have ZERO meaning to the Left.
It wouldn’t matter of the train operator was going 700 miles per hour while high on LSD. All that matters is that he was using a public machine that the Left desperately wants to burn money on. The accident is just an excuse.
Operator error. That section of track is zoned at 50 mph, and he was doing 100 mph.
Pray America is waking
And very poor government leadership.
How fast is that train supposed to travel?
*******
.....The speed limit is 70 mph just before the curve and 50 mph along the curve itself,
the Federal Railroad Administration said....
More info should be forthcoming as they have found the black box
according to the following article.
Investigators arrive after train wreck leaves 7 dead

All money was shoveled to the union laundries.
Pray America is waking
yep, just imagine if all the 10’s of trillions we’ve wasted on the war on poverty had been spent on infrastructure.
Liberals are at fault, as usual.
Just heard they estimate the train was traveling at about 100 miles an hour when it crashed.
An analysis by The Associated Press of surveillance video just before the deadly
crash of an Amtrak train in Philadelphia indicates it was traveling about 107 miles
per hour as it approached a curve where the speed limit was 50 miles per hour.
The video shows the train - which was roughly 662 feet long - passes the camera
in just over five seconds. But AP found that the surveillance video plays
back slightly slower than in real time.
So, adjusting for the slower playback puts the train’s estimated speed at
107 miles per hour. The surveillance camera was located at a site just before
the bend in the tracks.
So, how much infrastructure spending on THAT particular corner would have made it safe to go 100 instead of 50?
Lyin’ bastards.
Great point - almost as good as “I can’t bake that cake because it would offend Muslims”.
If we hadn’t spent $22 trillion on wealth transfers,
that train wouldn’t have crashed.
Follow the money...
Have they interviewed the Train’s Engineer yet, Mr. Infrastructure?
I’m sure his defense will be he wasn’t paid enough, even being a Union Employee.
