Wow - so a train going 100 mph when it should have been going 50 mph is the fault of the infrastructure?

Never let a crisis go to waste...

Who remembers the “Pork-u-los” bill? Over $800 Billion was given to Obama to distribute to America’s infrastructure. Bridges, roads, railways...shovel ready jobs.

Joe Biden was tasked with tracking every dollar that was spent.

Where did the $800 Billion go?????

Yeah... infrastructure. Forget the fact the train was going too fast. Do we know why? Engineer drunk? Give the private sector the opportunity to run some of these routes and let’s see what happens. Maybe the Post Office too. The federal gov’t does nothing very well except our military.

Every problem is now going to be about not paying enough taxes. If we give the government 100% of our money would life be perfect, accident and disease and crime free?

That train has been doing that run a couple of times a day for over a couple of decades. Now the libs are going to make it about infrastructure. They make me sick.

Actual facts have ZERO meaning to the Left.

It wouldn’t matter of the train operator was going 700 miles per hour while high on LSD. All that matters is that he was using a public machine that the Left desperately wants to burn money on. The accident is just an excuse.

So, how much infrastructure spending on THAT particular corner would have made it safe to go 100 instead of 50?

Lyin’ bastards.

Apparently so. If another trillion dollars had been spent, the train would not have been going 100 mph.

Liberalism is a mental disorder.

yeah ... OR ....the high cost of ignoring speed limits. (should be the title)

This is just like that train wreck in Spain a few years ago, just going too damned fast around a turn. So sad, those lives lost - forget for now the enormous $ cost - because someone couldn’t heed a speed limit.

I will be taking Amtrak tomorrow (South of DC) but was at DC’s Union Station today, and all the bus lines were unusually long due to the train wreck/cancellations.
