An illustration of my last response: $$$
Jeb trying to create a diversion for sure.
Post 15 for Prez & Post 17 for Vice Prez.
Or vice-versa if the demographics dictate.
Or just the graphics, for that matter. I’m easy.
Right out of Alinsky’s,”Rules for Radicals”.
This came up in Rubio’s senate race agains’t Charlie Crist. At the time he said he had paid all of the eronious charges back from his personal account. I guess it could accidentally happen but does not look good and did not look good then.
They won't say a word about it. Nobody on either party wants the charges to their party-issued credit card scrutinized.
This is one of those perks of the job that they'd rather not shine too much light on.
The fastest way for a politician to get out of debt is to become an amnesty pimp for the Chamber of Commerce.
When my husband was a Republican County Chair and primary election time came around, we completed a state document listing all expenses to hold that primary election. We received a state check and a special Primary Election account at the bank had to be opened. If we had paid for any personal expenses out of that money, we would have been jailed and the key thrown away. Among other political costs (printing of ballots, etc.), we paid the election judges/clerks out of that money. Every single cent had to be accounted for.
Rubio is not a dummy and he had to know he was breaking a law by paying for new flooring for his house out of that money, plus the other personal items he purchased. I don't care if he paid them back, there is no way he should have done that with that money in the first place.
The article says he didn't pay it back until he was caught. I don't know if that's true, but he never should have touched that money for personal expenses. Since he did that, I would not trust him as he had to know he was doing wrong and he did it anyway.
If Rubio is your man, I hope he weathers this storm. I don't think he will be the final candidate and that has nothing to do with his finances.
Methinks Rubio’s other credit cards were maxed out and that’s why he used the party card.
More to do about NOTHING!
“Methinks Rubios other credit cards were maxed out and thats why he used the party card.”
I think you are right - but he wasn’t using the money to buy beans to eat or starve, or milk for the kids - he used it for a new floor in his house and other items he did not need to exist. There is no excuse for what he did. His judgment failed him. Psychologically, we mental health workers know “The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior”.
I think he used the “party card” for the same reason anyone else in his position would use it —because he thought he would get away with it.
I don’t give a hoot that he paid it back. He committed crimes and that makes him a crook and unfit for public office.
I don’t like Rubio. I see him as a crook, but maybe I should rethink this.
He would sure change the overall appearance of the White House with her running around....and I am certain it would smell better.
Perhaps I have been too tough on this good man. ;>)
Wow.....
I just came here to read the article.
Haha Marco Rubio is like that Cuban-American Senator on Alpha House (produced by Amazon)
I guess from his perspective it beats working. He can do this gig for a few years, then join eric cantor and really cash in.
Professional flatterers of caesar don’t come cheap.
Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much :and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
Scheming with Schumer was enough.
I didn’t need to know he couldn’t be trusted with a credit card to know he couldn’t be trusted.
At least he paid it back, with Whitewater???
