I took this ferry from Manitowoc last summer. Very pleasant and interesting voyage. As one loses all sight of land for a couple of hours, it brings home the immensity of the Great Lakes. Anyone fearing that the country may "run out of water" should take this ride, and be reassured.

Time to run a pipe with that water to the west coast. Give us rain again and we promise not to fritter it away.

I’ve taken this, too. Gives one a sense of what can happen when the nor’easter rolls down out of Ontario, and why there are so many shipwrecks. “Nobody knows where the love of God goes...”
