FDNY used to be the best looking men in the city. Just to pass their firehouses when they sat out occasionally was a real treat. All those handsome, fit Irish boys. Now it’ll go to the dogs, I guess.
If a woman can carry a 250lb man down 3 flights of stairs while having 80 pounds of gear on their back, then I have no problem with them being a firefighter.

NYC can’t put off the consequences of stupidity forever.
I witnessed for my self the city council led by man beast vivarito explaining how monumental thier decision was to intagrate females and minorities into the FDNY because of thier gender and color. No mention of thier strength or skills needed. This is not important to these idiots! complete and utter a##holes!
Why should blind, deaf quadriplegics not be afforded this job opportunity ? Is it totally fair to exclude the dead or those never born these job opportunities ? What about those who will live, but centuries in the future ? All deserve the same consideration. Fair is fair.
