The IRS scammers are upping their dirty tactics to include SWAT-ting their victims, using software to make 911 calls from the victims' home numbers.

A few weeks ago I got a call from a robo scam left a message that the IRS had a lawsuit against me. Yeh right, but when I called them back to rip them a new one all I got was a busy signal the few attempts I made. Go to hell scammers.

How many votes would ANY Presidential Candidate get if he used the NSA data collection and made the “National Do Not Call” list actually WORK?
Just asking!

The police have got to find a way to combat this SWATting. What was described is basically making them unwilling partners in the threat that if the victim doesn't pay the extortion, the crooks will have the victims assaulted or killed.

When I had a land line I used to love jacking with the phone scammers.
Air horn in their ear works wonders.

I think it’s time the phone companies did something about this spoofing of phone numbers. Time to stop holding us users of technology responsible for the failings of the technology providers. In this case I include the police in the category of users of this technology - they just depend on their caller ID system being accurate.
