But then, apologists, like you, will probably claim that Cruz
***********
I’m not apologizing for Senator Cruz’s vote— I support it.
Sen. Cruz is the only national politician, ever, to call Pres. Obama a “socialist”— I’m certain his concern for this country is on a par with yours— He obviously voted in a manner consistent with his principles and his oath of office— if you don’t understand that, then you don’t understand him.
Not just that. Check out how many times he has donated to Hillary Clinton (for president).... and how many Democrats he has donated to. He, like most of the establishment RINOs, plays both sides of the aisle. I don't trust him. Hell, he can't even make a correct/right decision on who to fire re: The Apprentice. And some here want him for president?
Please explain if you would. You say that the “bill” is secret. Is it the bill that was secret, the agreement, or both?
The only thing that isn't secret is the fact that the whole thing is secret.
AND approving Hussein’s Iran deal. Cotton resisted the Iran vote. How did he do on the trade farce?
Doub’t?
It’s not “one issue.” There is a lot of sidestepping of Congress and the people and the Constitution involved in this trade deal. One provision that is often mentioned is “free movement of labor.” What do you suppose that means for the level of immigration and the notion that some immigration is illegal?
It is more than the trade bill. He turned his coat on the Iran bill before that. He is no better than any other gope. He had the language and the fortitude up to a point. Then it is as if the Brotherhood got to him with something incriminating or having the appearance of something incriminating or promises about the future health of his relatives, as was surely the case with Chief Justice Roberts, and Cruz metamorphized into a Lindsey Graham who is not so noisy about the betrayal.
Cruz is trying to commit political suicide over TWO issues. So far. There will surely be more to come.
You weren’t going to vote for him in the first place, $#*+-stirrer.
The fact that the details of this legislation is SECRET is enough reason for any right-minded conservative to vote against it.
Cruz explains this to my satisfaction or I’m not sending any more of my precious dollars.
AND I will take him off my tagline. So there.
The first vote caused me to wince. The second confirmed that he is unreliable and his words are what I would have been voting for, not any substance. I will NOT vote for a man just because I like him or he comes from my state. He has to be consistent. If he is not consistent then he is nothing and the situation will not even slow in its dissolution if that man is elected. He has been suborned. If he was bought he will stay bought. If he about-faced because of threats to his family he will stay that way. A man who caves will cave aagain as Cruz caved and caved again.
One lapse could be overlooked, perhaps, but he caved on giving Hussein a free hand on Iran, also. This man acts the way Chief Justice Roberts acted- as if he has been gotten to, either with a tremendous bribe or with physical threats or, as is the usual procedure, with both.
Thanks for your post. I disagree with all of it. But, feeling as you do, you probably shouldn’t vote for Ted Cruz.
You disagree that Cruz voted to dispense with the Treaty making provision of the Constitution twice? It is on record. MSM has it. FR has it. It has happened. He voted to give Hussein plenary power for making deals with Iran and for the trade deal. I think it is awful that we are relying on the Democrats to scotch the free ride on the trade deal and they will back off on that if Hussein promises to put some union protection language in it.
