Popular Psychology is not Science.
Really? Fudge included in analysis of this paper again? Eeewwww.
M, O, N, E, Y.
Not a mention of Global Warming / Climate Change / Climate disruption in this article.
The Weekly Standard also had a column on this incident and the perils of fraud in the social sciences at http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/big-phony-data_952627.html?nopager=1
MONEY! Duh!
How come the NYT doesn’t mention the biggest scientific fraud of all — man-made global warming?
Interesting that it was published just before the Irish gay marriage vote.
Also interesting that it was denounced as ‘bad science’ when it was blatant gay propaganda.
Has the New York Slimes ever said anything critical of gays? Just curious...
The biggest frauds involve GovernMental EnvironMental Scientits who want to be both the sucker and the sucker!!! (refering to the GovernMental tits of jobs with fat pensions, grants of public funds supplies by professional “Grant Writers” galore!!!)
The desire for money and power is at the root of it.
My impression is that there are many that are...but then they are not the one's getting popular attention. There are charlatan science popularizes and activists who love attention more than the hard trench work of honest research...just as there are charlatan mega-preachers who love attention more than the hard work of really connecting and giving of themselves to others.
Money. Power.
Nothing new.
Money, control, and fervent ideology.
The major role of scientists today is to confirm the beliefs of those who pay for the science. — Captain Compassion
That the issue the NY Times is oblivious too... The Times and media in general had a preferred outcome so the answer bias was built in from the start
Remember the old true story of the horse that seem could do math by tapping its hoof the number of times for the answer?...ever one even the owner thought the horse was doing it.
But turned out the horse was just reacting to the tension in the crowd...
Ask the horse 3+4...the crowd and owner would tense up as the question was asked waiting to see if the horse would give correct the answer
horse feeling the tension would start tapping its hoof random number of times..when the crowd and owner heard the the correct answer they would relax.
and the horse feeling the reaction of crowd would stop tapping its hoof.
The liberal media and popular science have this horse and crowd relationship influencing the results
NYT discussing fraud? Really close to home for them.
