I find it surprising as well. I don’t know about the church experience of people here on FR, but I am puzzled at the silence from at least protestant leadership about the modern day persecution outside of the West. Once in while you get a glimpse from those directly involved in over sea missions, but even most Christians seem to be wildly ignorant of what is going on. We in the West may not think we are looking at the end times, but as far as the Christian experience in the Middle East, the end times are here.
I heard someone refer to the rise of ISIS and the death of somewhere between 5 and 600,000 Christians being murdered by them. The way moslems have historically conquered territory, frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised at all. They cut a swath like a mini-gun.

This is what happens when you combine:
The over reach of “Nation Building”,
The hand tying of our “Rules of Engagement”,
and
A Fascist President who hates America and supports Islamic Terror.

Liberal western governments think it is just peachy that those ornery Christians are finally being rationally dealt with and wish they could bring some of that to their own countries. Those Christians are the chief remaining obstacle to the final installation of Utopia.
OK. So why not now? There are plenty of Christians with military and combat experience, some as high-ranking officers. There are plenty of people with money who would be willing to invest them in arms for a Christian expedition to Iraq and Syria. I can assure you that there are gun runners looking for clients. ISIS/DAESH is recruiting abroad for its evil purposes. The free world has had its chance to act officially, and has done the wrong thing once again. Why not a new crusade of rough riders? I can’t speak for Israel, but I can bet good money that the government is not at all happy with ISIS/DAESH turning the Middle East into a charnal yard, and Bibi might very well like the idea of some mentally stable, trustworthy people coming into the neighborhood to give them what for, with no connection whatever to Iran. Eastern Christians are our natural allies, since they, too are a minority in this region.
