The West is a post-Christian society so I’m not surprised that it doesn’t care.
There isn’t any personal connection between most Westerners and Christians around the world.
I find it surprising as well. I don’t know about the church experience of people here on FR, but I am puzzled at the silence from at least protestant leadership about the modern day persecution outside of the West. Once in while you get a glimpse from those directly involved in over sea missions, but even most Christians seem to be wildly ignorant of what is going on. We in the West may not think we are looking at the end times, but as far as the Christian experience in the Middle East, the end times are here.
