Won't matter long, now that Rand Paul has committed political suicide.

Glad to know that Walker states the obvious...

I agree with the other poster...Rand is done.

“Rand is done.’

Rand dazzles himself, fascinates himself.

If Rand Paul is against ISIS does that mean Walker is for it?

Someone tell Walker that, according to the FBI, not one terrorist has been caught because of the Patriot Act. Fourteen years of the law, and they can’t point to one. It’s a scam law and always was.

The real motive of the Patriot Act is to spy on American citizens, not suspected of any crime, without a warrant. “The FBI tripled its use of bulk collection under Section 215 of the Patriot Act, which allows government agents to compel businesses to turn over records and documents, and increasingly scooped up records of Americans who had no ties to official terrorism investigations.”

“FBI agents can’t point to any major terrorism cases they’ve cracked thanks to the key snooping powers in the Patriot Act, the Justice Department’s inspector general said in a report Thursday that could complicate efforts to keep key parts of the law operating.

Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz said that between 2004 and 2009, the FBI tripled its use of bulk collection under Section 215 of the Patriot Act, which allows government agents to compel businesses to turn over records and documents, and increasingly scooped up records of Americans who had no ties to official terrorism investigations.”

Does Walker agree with Senator Ted Cruz that all bulk email acquisition activities without a warrant by the NSA has to stop?

Yes, when Rand started saying the federal government shouldn’t be indiscriminately snooping on our email and phone calls, that did it for you didn’t it? He was “done” in your book!

Rand committed “suicide” - by saying that the federal govt shouldn’t be snooping on us without a warrant?

I remember reading the “patriot act” when it was passed. The vast majority of it was devoted to removing the Jamie Gorelick “walls” that prevented the FBI, CIA and other agencies from sharing intelligence. This was attributed as a significant reason for why 911 happened. Many have forgotten that.

There are some objectionable aspects to the law, which you mentioned, that can be revised out. However, it is paramount that govt agencies be allowed to share intelligence so they can fulfill their constitutional obligation of defending the US.

Nope, I was done with Rand a long time ago...pandering to the black community, pandering on voter fraud. His stance on illegal immigration. His flip flop on filibustering, etc...

Can’t disagree with you on those issues. Rand’s been a disappointment there.
