I first read 1984 in high school (mid 60s), and recall thinking - that'll NEVER happen here.
In the ensuing years, I've re-read the book at least 3-4 times and it's amazing how my response has changed from "never" to "is that happening in my country?" to "holy krap, it IS happening here!"
Disgusting what Libs have done to us - but more disgusting that we let it happen. Fight back America!
