According to court documents filed in the case, the victim, then 11 years old, told Goshen police in the spring of 2011 that he was repeatedly molested by a friend’s relative, later identified as Macias. Court records show the incidents in question happened between fall 2008 and early 2010.
In a forensic interview at the Elkhart County Child and Family Advocacy Center, the boy told an interviewer that he was at his friend’s house and Macias started touching him in a way that made him feel uncomfortable. The contact escalated to Macias performing oral sex on the boy, court documents state.
Macias also had anal sex with him, the victim told interviewers. On at least one occasion, the boy said Macias showed him pornography and another of the charges stems from the victim reporting that Macias once told the boy to perform oral sex on another child while Macias watched but the victim did not carry out Macias’ demand.
All of Macias’ charges combined carry a maximum sentence of 389 year in prison. If Macias is convicted, another hearing will be scheduled to decided his sentence.

I never got that either just say no chance of parole or pardon unless exonerated by exculpatory evidence.

I’m glad to see him get the extra six months.
The reason for it is that a judge will specifically articulate if sentences for multiple offenses are to be served consecutively or concurrently. If, during appeals, some of the charges are overturned, but others stick the remaining sentence will be adjusted accordingly. For example if somebody is found guilty on 10 counts, and sentenced to five years for each, it will be in reality a five year sentence if the judge directs that time be served concurrently. If on the other hand, they are ordered consecutively, it will be a 50 year sentence...but if the defendant successfully appeals two of them, it will become in reality, a 40 year sentence.
Don’t worry, he’s not gay. It has nothing to do with homosexuality. It’s about control, or revenge for his own abuse as a child, or something...
