It’s a way to make money. An old friend of mine had a failed business and two books that were flat out rejected by every publishing house out there. His wife left him and his kids no longer talked to him. He alienated his friends, me included.
About 5 years ago, he went full Jenner. He went from hardcore conservative to the left of Matthews. Started dressing as a woman, took hormones, the works. For his books, the only thing that changed was the dust jacket to reflect his new life as a woman.
Surprise surprise.... his books started selling, he was getting interviews and money started coming in.
For some reason, I get the feeling Jenner and others are doing the gender thing for attention and bucks.
