"...business continues as usual in all 50 states' Obamacare exchanges."

Oh really?

What about Hawaii and Iowa, where it's already gone bankrupt?
"Business as usual" there too?

By that one silly statement, this article has rendered itself irrelevant.

No, Owens is wrong. It’s all 57 states, not 50. How dare anyone contradict Dear Leader?

Obamacare is just the next stage that leads eventually to single payer healthcare. Obama has said so.

Medicare and Medicaid are single payer. With 73 million on Medicaid and 47 million on Medicare, it will complete the objective the Dems had all along. The failure of Obamacare will be welcomed.

If Obama loses this case, he will simply ignore it and continue the subsidies, citing the irreparable damage the loss of subsidies would be to the poor. He’ll call the decision racist. He’ll have Sharpton & Co. rioting in the streets. He’ll call it a national security crisis, even bigger than global warming. He’ll stand before the cameras & tell repeated lies, then do what he pleases.

What can the Supreme Court do? They have no authority to do anything. Congress wont do anything. The right thing to do, immediate impeachment, is out of the question. The Justice Dept. wont do anything, they answer only to Obama.

Obama has never let the Constitution or the rule of law stand in his way. A mere USSC ruling is easily ignored. This is about his signature “accomplishment”, his ego, & we all know how that works.

The coronation of the Emperor will then be complete.

> Even if we lose, Obamacare has started its actuarial death spiral. Take your spoonful of ugly now, or take it later.

Yep, the Fabian socialists have won already, since their Cloward-Piven health care plan was designed to blow up our free market system from the start.

The supremes will only speed-up or slow down the inevitable destruction.

“promote the general welfare”

*************
Progressives interpret this as justification for a “hands on” government. Conservatives view it as meaning the government should keep its “hands off” so as to protect personal liberties and prevent the abuses of big government. Needless to say, my interpretation is the latter.

“I have little faith in the SC making any lawful Constitutional judgment. It will be shi! either way, we crash.”

I agree. John Roberts will never do anything to overturn this. People who think he will are reading his last ruling too narrowly. You have to look beyond his opinion to its motivations. Its logic was so twisted and nonsensical as to signal an unwillingness to rule Dredd Scott anyting other than property, I mean to rule ObamaCare anything else but workable.

Roberts views ObamaCare as a political issue and does not want his Court to be viewed as political. Now, gay marriage and other issues he is more than happy to weigh in on, especially since he knows he doesn’t have the votes to make them go his way. This way, Johnny gets to still go to the cocktail parties in DC.

Hey folks, Obama has wanted ObamaCare to fail from the beginning because it will mean he can ride in on the white horse as the knight in shining armor and save the day by instituting a single payer healthcare system, which is the wet dream of all liberals. This was the goal all along. They knew this complicated, convoluted piece of crap they spawned would eventually collapse under it's own weight and their incompetence and they would have that utopian single payer system they have all dreamed about for decades. Forget that it will bankrupt an already bankrupt nation. Who cares but the conservatives, their evil opposition?

I would not be surprised to find out that the Supreme Court is in on this scheme already. The levers of power are not going our way when SCOUS and McConnell and Boehner are kissing up to Obama's ass like it's their next meal.

Obamacare will survive the SCOTUS with Roberts joining the liberals in a 5-4 vote. He has to after saving it previously.

The results will be disasterous, but that's all part of the plan. By November 2016, Americans will be so furious that they will be willing to vote in another Bush.

Then words have no meaning.

You beat me to it.

In this case neither legislative intent or nor the clear language that was written to implement that intent carry any weight. It will be a “What’s the right thing to do” decision perhaps swayed some by another successful Chief Justice Robert blackmail effort.

Bottom Line: the language of the law can no longer be counted as the primary means of establishing the implementation and/or the enforcement of that law. The view of the current Administration is the key determining factor.

Has that not been the way for at least 100 yrs?

We no longer have equality under the law; let alone equality OF the law. Congress/D.C. exempt themselves from the Law...under what authority and basis I have NO idea. Insider trading, extortion, corruption, selling the office, lying, perjury, stealing....all get moved from one position to the next, rarely fined and even rarer fired/jailed.

From the ‘hate crime Laws’ of today (divining INTENT instead of the nature of the crime...murder bad, but murder vs. black/gay by white/straight is MORE bad) to the ‘gun control laws’ of the 30s/60s+ (in violation of ‘shall NOT be infringed’).

How the Supreme Court has acted in the last few years it appears they don’t tell what the law is they are told what the laws are by those who own the power to control.

Since the only people who like Obamacare are those getting huge subsidies and the rest realize they’ve been shafted, letting it continue as written could be the dem’s nightmare.

My gardener, who does get a subsidy, still hates it because his job went from full-time to part-time and now he has to mow lawns to make up the difference.

Roberts will screw us again on this one, and Kennedy will go all gay on us in the “marriage” case.
This term is going to have a very bitter end.
I would love to be wrong, but I don’t think I am.

All it means is that those who are getting subsidies (about 90% at least) will go back to how they were getting health care before...in the emergency room and via Medicaid.
