A day before being activated from the disabled list, Mets pitcher Dillon Gee was also activated as a promoter of Gun Violence Awareness Day, apparently without his knowledge.
To show their support for "Wear Orange," an initiative of the Everytown for Gun Safety nonprofit co-founded by former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg, the Mets took a team photo Tuesday wearing orange shirts.
The Mets became the first pro sports franchise to participate, but Gee was not pleased once he got more background on the campaign and took to Twitter to explain.

The Team needs to be suspended by the MLB for what they did
His Twitter says that he was told it was a picture to raise awareness of gun violence. Wondering why he didn’t question who was behind it.

The king and queen of the Netherlands were in Michigan on that day wearing Orange as well and I wondered if it had something to do with the gun control BS or if they were even aware of it.
Anyone that wants to “raise awareness” of gun violence should immediately be viewed with suspicion. Everyone is QUITE AWARE of gun (read: criminal) violence. Nothing new is needed.

Actually Orange is the color of the House of Orange which is the royal family of the Netherlands so orange is the color most associated with the Netherlands.
I wondered if there was some significance to the Dutch.

There's ALWAYS going to be someone who disagrees, and frankly would be appalled to be used as a pawn in a political stunt.
