Ted states that the public will be allowed to to see the secret trade deals before they are voted on. I call BS, if the trade agreemens 6700 pages is done in secret, what secrets have to be hide. Ted is a liar in this toewn hall meeting. he supports Free Trade Agreements. How has NAFA helped Texas. Living in the Midwest, and in the state where Big Auto is headquartered, more plants to build automobiles are shuttered than are open. Saginaw, Flint (GM plants closed) Wixom (ford Plant closed and in the process of being torn apart) Kingsford (ford plant closed for years - the buildings just deteriorate). So NAFTA is a disaster. How will trad with Asia Pacific Partners be any better - China mass produces autos chevy, BMW and Volkswagen - China does not recognize patent rights so Chery cars are built. Come now Ted get your head out of Obama’s backside.

Yeah, somehow, Cruz has landed on the wrong side of this thing, as well as with the Patriot Act renewal. Not sure what happened to him, except that perhaps some of his new friend donors turned him.

Yet, new auto plants are sprouting like mushrooms from South Carolina to Texas.

Accordingly, it ain't NAFTA, it must be something that's affecting the Midwest. Like, say, unions...

I do not believe in all of the NAFTA, CAFTA and SHAFTA deals as well.

However, I will not let the liberal city officials of these states, the taxing structure or the unions walk away from being at fault for closures of these plants.

And so the closing of the auto plants in Michigan had nothing whatsoever to do with union thugs taking $60 an hour to turn a nut? I didn't know that.

MI is now a right to work state whereby you cannot be forced to join a Union. Further example Benton Harbor, MI Whirlpool moved production out of there. Kmart formerly headquartered in Michigan, bought by Sears now sears and kmarts are being closed throughout the USA.

Living in the UP of MI - KI Sawyer AFB closed many years ago, by the Feds. Recently the Feds wanted to close the general mail facility (Kingsford) in the UP and have the mail be sorted through Green Bay General mail Facility - not achieved.

Oddly enough the county I live in had 86 Iron Mines. Now there is only 1 mine that could be reopened, the Feds were here last summer looking at the mine. Also they were looking for another mineral - uranium that is cropping up in MI. The Former Village of Mineral Hills, wealthiest village at one time - now is the worst for blighted structures - mine buildings hat are abandoned and deteriorating.

Yet, the USA talks about Free Trade around the world. Why not utilize or resources here instead of being dependent upon Arab countries - oil, China - for cheap Walmart - Dollar Store products, Indonesia/ India - clothing. North Dakota has oil and natural gas. MI we have oil production too!

What has NAFA done for the USA - I can remember Emerson Electronics formerly in Menominee, MI in 2006 the plant moved to Mexico. Chrysler and Volkswagen have vehicles built in Mexico shipped to the USA.

Why the secrecy for the trade agreement. At 6700 pages it sounds like it is more than trade it has other agreements within it. Ted, Rand, and others must tell the truth!

From the audio, about the illegal immigration issue, he will secure the border first, rescind the amnesty. Then, after succeeding in securing the border we will have the debate about what to do with illegals in the country. Those who came in the U.S. illegally will permanently be illegible for citizenship.

wRONG SIDE OF 3 VERY IMPORTANT ISSUES AND A DEAL BEREAKER FOR ME.

"Those who came in the U.S. illegally will permanently be illegible for citizenship."

But they and their progeny get ot stay on the welfare rolls and consume public resources at will.

Are you a taxpayer? Do you support allowing illegals to STAY here legally?

And, if you don't support that, why would you support a politician who does?

For TPA, the legislation has been 6 years in making. President should have an authority to negotiate the trade deal until it is finalized, then send the bill to the Congress for up-or-down vote with no amendment. (Otherwise, President has to go back and re-negotiate. How long will it take to get it done? That's why it is called “Fast Track”)

In response to people who are afraid that he voted to give more power to Obama, he said that he didn't trust Obama at all. Obama won't be in the office in 1 1/2 years. He looked into the future for the next president to have an authority to negotiate. Hopefully, the next president will be a Republican, especially him. Now is the time to get it passed with Democrats. If we wait for the next administration (Republican), Democrats in Congress will vote it down no matter what.

Secure the border first, then we talk about it as Ted Cruz said. And no citizenship for illegals.

Yeah, I've been trying to make this point for a while. Unless and until we secure the border, none of the rest matters. You can't even begin to have a productive discussion on what to do with the illegals already here until you stop the influx.

Ted Cruz did not vote for the Patriot Act. He voted for the NSA Freedom Act and actually helped draft it. It is a much better alternative that protects our rights without stripping the ability to gather data with a court order on those who are engaging with terrorist organizations.

If you listen to the interview, you will get a clearer understanding of Ted’s position, the issues of TPA and TPP, as well as a wealth of other information.
