Trouble in Dem-land as unions freeze cash contributions

The AFL-CIO, along with some public sector unions, announced a campaign finance freeze in March. Unions hoped the threat of withholding contributions would scare Democratic lawmakers out of supporting President Barack Obama’s Trade Promotion Authority, or “fast track,” to negotiate the Trans-Pacific Partnership — a trade agreement labor groups say would hurt manufacturing jobs in the U.S.

LOL! WTH? They figured it would be scawee to the lyin' king if they withheld donations? Yeah, right. He don't care. Besides, nobody will know what's in the TPP for 4 years and the lyin' king (may) will be gone by then. Meanwhile, the evil Koch brothers continue to buy legislators for 10 cents on the dollar in their quest to ruin the United States. Or something.

Ha!

Big Labor and the DNC... it’s like a woman who won’t bring charges against the husband who beats her.

In the end... the unions will give the DNC all the money they want.

You mean give the DNC all the union members can pony up from dues as long as it doesn’t interfere with the union bosses life style?

Labor union contributions are nice in state and local races, but who needs them when the Democrats have George Soros and other billionaires of his sorry ilk in national races?

Notice also that Soros spends little money on congressional races since Emperor BO has made them largely irrelevant.

Ha!

I used to work in a steel mill. The union leader had a car newer and flashier than the one owned by the President/Owner of the company.

I have been associated with 3 unions in my life.

The number one personal characteristic of almost everyone of the business agents were young girlfriends that either worked in the office at the hall or for one of the signatory companies.

Every business agent I knew gained about 20-25 lbs. per year and within a few years most ended up with a divorce.

nobody will know what's in the TPP for 4 years

I read right here that the public will know what's in it 60 days before it is voted on. I wonder which story is true.

There are two ways to get someone’s support. The first is by promising them things. But the second is to offer to *not* take what they have left.

This latter thing is what conservative Republicans should offer to unions. Join with conservatives against both the Democrats and the Republican party leadership, and we will offer you *no* jobs destroying TPP, and a level playing field in business.

We will not vote laws that favor you, but at the national level, we won’t attack you if you don’t attack us.

Support us and live. Support the Democrats and RINOs, and it will be nice knowing you as you fade away into nothing.
