Rest in peace, Sir Christopher. I’ve just read that he was perhaps the most prolific actor in screen history, racking up more than 275 films. I’ve also read that it was said, he was the only Lord of the Rings actor who had actually met the author, J. R. R. Tolkien.
While I am not often drawn to the dark side, he made it his life’s study. He delved into many roles few actors dare to pursue.
He also read the LoTR Trilogy more than 25 times. Read through every year. He not only KNEW Tolkien...but he REALLY knew his mythology.
