The government actually has a form(or did have in 2003)whereby you can “change” you race. When I worked as a civilian employee for the Air Force in the civilian personnel directorate,there were on two separate occasins white guys who came in to my office wanting to be classified as “Native Americans”. To my surprise we had such forms available. I guess these guys didn’t believe that “white privilege” benefitted them. Months later, a black guy came in wanting to be classified as white(I’m not kidding)for religious reasons. He belonged to a black religious cult in Georgia called the Nuwabians. I kept a straight face, believe it or not. Such is the weird world of civil service.
