Culture Minister Miri Regev was steadfast Sunday in defending her decision to review funding for an Arab-Jewish theater, making clear that cultural institutions who partner in boycotts against Israel will not be funded by the country.
Last Tuesday, Regev announced she would "reconsider" state funding to the Elmina Theater, after manager Norman Issa refused to participate in a play in Judea and Samaria.
That decision incurred the wrath of leftist artists and politicians, with Meretz chairwoman Zehava Galon accusing Regev of "silencing creators who don't align with the regime's position."
Regev, however, was undeterred. "Institutions that delegitimize the State of Israel will not receive funding," the Minister vowed in an interview Sunday with Channel 2. "This is not silencing."

Regev's latest remarks come in the wake of a letter signed by a long list of left-wing Israelis artists targeting her and Education Minister Naftali Bennett.
Artists from the film, theater, dance, literature and music industries published the letter Sunday, "protesting the non-democratic measures taken by the Education and Culture Ministries against artists whose creative works or outlooks do not jive with the spirit in these offices."
"We will continue to look at reality, to express our opinions and obey our consciences even if we must pay a price," the artists stressed.

I’ll never understand hating your heritage. They do know they are surrounded on all sides by people that want them dead, right? And brave men and women are keeping them safe.
Left-Wing Rabble-RousersThats another phrase for the Department of Redundancy Department. Without raising the rabble, the left would have no raison dêtre.

Turn to the private sector or even better since the exsistence of Israel annoys just ask Arab countries for funding. The PLO will help you whine and lie about Israel
Saudis and Iran have deep pockets. So does George Soros. They won’t fund you because you aren’t over-the-top enough. But I’m sure you’ll be only too happy to accommodate them, and artistic integrity and freedom of conscience be damned.
Left-wing Israelis, exemplified by Meretz, are a bunch of self-hatred Jews. Reasonably harmless in the US; dangerous in Israel for everyone there.
Not guilty.
...then came the book burnings...
Oh, no. Not harmless in the US, either. “they are wise to do evil, and know not how to do good.” Brilliant in every skill needed to win elections, they are. Dedicated to electing libtards, too. I’m afraid this is one instance when you really can blame the Randoms, some of them related to me.
You mean the book defundings.
