Have they missed the past six years? They do know who the president is, and his right hand hit woman?
The vast majority of Iranians, backwards, atavistic and primitive-minded that they are, support the mullahs. Sad, but true. Don’t forget, the Shah was detested—and overthrown—because he tried to modernize Iran! The resistance is limited to urban, college educated students and “yuppies.” And an open alliance with these folks by the US government would stamp any such movement “made in America.” In Iran, that’s a death sentence.
