You believe in evolution? and believe in scientific theory? This implies some sort of choice rather than it being fact. In this case, you have faith in these theories. Since no one observed the creation of the world, all theories should be valid. Shunning them is... unscientific. This is your personal bias choosing.

It is strange that you are bothered that some people believing the world is only 6000 years old. If we are all here by an accident and return to nothingness, what does it matter? Isn’t truth relative now? Besides, science is killed by consensus thinking. How long did Pluto’s nature go missing because Jim Christy trusted his professor’s research on word alone?

You are also wrong about religion being negative. Perhaps you should check out Christian missions, see how many people are fed and helped each year. I would also recommend you research Christianity’s affect on Science, you’d be surprised. Try reading some primary works of Galileo, Newton, Copernicus, Kepler, etc.

Oh my goodness, I was being sarcastic.

I am not bothered by strict creationists. I just have to chuckle at their ignorance. I do think it’s sad they teach their children the same. But, it’s none of my business.

The word of God is wonderful. The people who truly work the mission are angels on earth.

The obstinate, in your face people who tell me I will go to hell if I don’t believe their view of the world are responsible for significant pain over the course of history.

I suggest you read how the church destroyed ancient texts, and even the works of Galileo and Copernicus—not to mention the thousands of brilliant minds that were suppressed in religion-dominated schools over the past few centuries.

And the religious domination is not the domain of just Christians. One need only look at the bushier/Shinto antics of the Japanese and the junk going on in the Middle East. Finally, a close re-reading of the Old Testament will show how the Jews went out and killed by the tens of thousands in the pre-captivity days.

Ignorance? Hmm, I find that an amusing dismissal. At one time people said the exact same thing about the Heliocentric theory. I am well versed in evolution and biology, but find it incredibly lacking in explanation and proof for evolution. Natural selection? Sure, but actual change of fin to hand? How the bones overlay with vessels, nerves, and cartilage - random creation of complex genetic code and symmetrical design?... hmm, nope.

I would jokingly ask how many Scleromochlus jumped off a cliff before their wings were large enough to support flight... then becoming Pterodactyls?

I would identify as a creationist... based off of facts, scientific study and observation.
