Every company I have worked for has a sexual harassment policy which was read and signed off by the employee.
Sure it's legal cover for the employer, why should a company pay out the nose for an innocent comment some employee makes.
I was once accused of sexual harassment by an female subordinate for saying to her "You look nice today"...simply a complement, I was just being nice...
Nobody needs company training to know what's wrong.
Of course they do...in many cases sexual harassment is about perception of the individual...
Get too close to female, you are pressuring her or hitting on her.
Comment on another female employee looks and the wrong person hears you...hostile work environment...
Say that something is "gay" or queer" ..wrong homo person hears you...hostile work environment...
